Welp, I can't remember the last thing I wrote, or when that was, and nothing particularly exciting has happened, so I can't even remember what I'm supposed to write, but I'll sure try. See, that's why I need to write everyday, if only short entries, so I remember what happened! I hate it when you can't remember but two days back... Memory and time are such a trip.
Well, on Friday I got up uber early to go see Annie because Dad was going to the airport to pick up the gang and it worked out anyway because Annie needed to be somewhere at two, so we hung out in the morning. I got to her house at like 10ish and left at 1:30 when she drove me home. We had so much fun! It was the first time I'd ever been to her house and it's one of the best houses I've ever been in. It was cozy, the perfect example of cozy, and it was crazy that I'd never ever been there before! But I loved it and we just laid on her bed and talked and she said I fit into her room really well. You know what I mean? Like I just fit there, and it was true! I felt really comfortable in that house and her room, like I had always known it and had been going there for years. Then we decided to take a million pictures with her digital camera, which was really fun and really silly! She'd better send them to me because I'm going to cover my wall at school with pictures =) But then it was time to go *tear* and she dropped me off and we hugged out goodbye and jeeze that's probably the last time I'll see her until winter break! Unless she comes to visit her Uncle who likes in Brooklyn I do believe. She may be there in a few weeks for maybe three days, so I told her if she is she's better call me or I'll hunt her down. She's off to Europe for three weeks tomorrow and then she has a week until school. So much later than me! I love Annie. Seriously, top 5 of best friends.
So then I was home and a few minutes later Mom Tommy Molly and Dad got home! Apparently their luggage didn't make it onto the plane with them (because they cut it kinda close getting on... are we surprised? knowing Mom, hehe) so they waited a while for it but then they weren't gunna get it so it was gunna be delivered. And that's all I did Friday. I think. Yup, and anyway, if I can't remember it must not be too important. But yea, it was really great to see them! But then after less than 2 hours, me and Dad were like
man it was kinda cool just the two of us. We get along really really well and just both do our own things and stay out of each other's ways but then collaborate on stuff like going out to dinner or laundry or grocery shopping. Mom and Tommy and Molly make the world a more hectic place. I mean, really. But you know I mean nothing by that! I actually think it's rather humorous what a difference they make. Haha. =) Of course I love them. Dad's just more chill like me.
So then Saturday they bounced to Reno, with no clothing (ha!) and I was supposed to get the door if someone rang the doorbell with the packages. No one ever rang it. I walked Gracie and then at around 4:15 Hanna picked me up to go see a movie with her and Sophie. We saw Step Up, which was predictable and cliché, but again, a good movie if you knew that's what you were going in for. The one thing that got me was that it made me want to dance really really bad! I haven't been dancing all summer and I'm not really sure what's up with that, I just haven't felt like going. Which is dumb, because dance is one of the few things that makes me really really really happy. Dance, Rain, Best Friends, Good food, Baking, Drawing, Taking Photographs, Writing, and almost any form of art for that matter. =) So I made Sophie promise to remind me to find a ballet studio in New York. Which shouldn't be a problem if I look.
Speaking of which, I forgot that when I was at Annie’s house on Friday, we made lists of the things we want to remember when we go off to college. Things such as: Find time to bake, or Dance, or, read, or explore, were on my list. You know what I mean? All the things you should be doing but you might not if you get too caught up in school. I also made a list of all the places I eventually need to visit in NY. The list will be pasted on my wall next to inspirations and pictures of my friends back here at home, and I'll add to it as necessary. The other thing I forgot was that at Annie's house I had the first real shock of freedom. I realized it's not like sleep away camp or even home this summer where I have tons of freedom to do what I want. It's different because I wont be accountable to
anyone I wont have to ask permission ot do anything and holy crap it hit me and I was like WOW! So that was probably the first reality shock of leaving, after the starting to feel stressed around Wednesday. Later Friday we also took Gracie out to a park, me and Dad and Tommy, and Dad helped me with my list of places to go because we had been talking about that Thursday at dinner. I'm so excited! But at this point, I'm just like, hurry up already! Even though I wanna stay longer slash it'll go really quick anyways, I have 4 days of stress of leaving ahead of me, and then plenty of stress of OH MY GOD I'M IN NEW YORK! In Step up, the school they went to was Maryland School of Art and it made me wish I'd applied there and looked closer at it because it has dance and everything too. Of course I want to go to Pratt! I just wanna dance too. Maryland was in my top 7 schools I think, and then I applied to 5, so. Anyways. Oh, I also talked to Allison! She left yesterday for Canada! So unfortunately we didn't get to see each other once more, but we said goodbye on the phone and I'll call her soon. Some time from New York. Ha! I'm gunna be living in New york! Where do you live, Bonnie? I LIVE IN NEW YORK! How cool is that?!
Anyways, Saturday. So then Sophie's Parents picked us up so that we could go back to her house and have dinner. It was tasty, of course, and we had fun. And we talked about Religion and Hanna and Sophie's Dad got into an argument in which I completely agreed with Sophie's Dad and mom and Sophie seemed to agree more with Hanna. It was interesting, but I mostly stayed out of it, as I tend to do. I have my beliefs and arguing them just doesn't matter to me.
So then we came home and at some more and watched a couple stupid movies and TV shows, you know, just hung out. The package guy STILL hadn't come, and mom called to tell me he might be there at 12:30! I was like HELL NO I'M NOT GETTING THE DOOR! (p.s. the rest of the family is in Reno all weekend for a bowling tournament). So I wrote a note and left it on the door saying they should leave them on the side of the house. But then when the doorbell finally rang, I was worried they wouldn't leave them, so me and Sophie crept to the door and she looked out the window and saw he was getting them out of his truck and then opened the little peephole in the door to make sure he was leaving them (we still weren't gunna answer the door! just make sure we got the suitcases!) and next thing was know Hanna screams BONNNNNIE! and me and Sophie are like SHHHHHH and we fall on the floor laughing hysterically but trying to stay quiet so Hanna comes crawling through the front room on the ground so she can't be seen and it was the funniest thing I've ever seen and me and Sophie could not stop laughing. Finally the guy leaves, but we didn't go get the suitcases until much much later. It was funny. But I was so tired, and we all went to sleep watching a movie in the back room. Hanna had to leave at like 9, and Sophie left at 12. So here I am. Gracie desperately needs a walk because she didn't get one in the morning because I was asleep and no one else is home, but yah know... She'll get one soon. But I'm sick of walking her because there's only a few routes and I'm bored.
So Sophie's leaving Monday for Europe also, and Hanna's leaving Monday for somewhere, so hopefully I'll see them both either later today or tomorrow. Anna's gone for the weekend for a soccer tournament, but we're gunna hand out once or twice once she gets back and before I leave. Sheesh.
See? Nothing too interesting. But I remembered it all. I'm pretty sure that's it =) Oh and of course! I didn’t need to, but I started packing Friday night. Mom got me a big ol’ suitcase and a smaller one and I packed up all my clothes. Most of them. Yikes! So much to do…
p.s. I'm really glad you all seemed to enjoy reading about my ferocious battle with the fridge as much as I enjoyed telling in and sitting it!
FOUR MORE DAYS!
