This is supposed to be the documentation of the beginings of my life as a photojournalist and the beginnings of my life as my own woman. We'll see how it goes.

Mirrors...
Isn't it interesting how you can look at someone in a mirror, and they can look back at you, but you're not really looking at each other at all?
I am a student of Art at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn New York. I am majoring in Photography and minoring in the History of Art, as well as taking classes in printmaking, jewelry, and painting. I also blow glass and am working as a pastry chef. I just spent the Spring 2009 semester studying abroad in Florence, Italy to further my Art History and Culinary education. The summer of 2009 I will be attending classes at the Crucible in my hometown of Oakland, California, in both metal work and in glass, as well as assisting them with their annal Fire-Arts Festival. I am very interested in the history of photography, in advertising, fashion photography and magazine work, and especially in black and while photography done with film. I love darkroom work and am well equipped with printing sills. I am detail oriented and a very hard worker, and I love to create, and an extremely eager to learn. :)
